U.S ELECTION NIGHT

NOVEMBER 2024

This was the coverage that my University broadcasted live on our YouTube during the presidential election, we were each able to choose our roles, and were assigned two 2-hour shifts during the production. I was one of 3 camera operators in the second half of our post-midnight segment. This was a very chaotic night, but I had a lot of fun and it was great to have a more realistic experience in the live studio, especially with a crew of the size we had.

OCTOBER 2023 - JANUARY 2024

This was a short film that I worked on for my Unit 20 Single Camera Production.

We worked in groups for the pre-production stage, and produced the relevant documents for the project, such as shot lists, shooting schedules, risk assessments, and talent release forms. I was a production runner on some of the filming days, and on my designated day I was the focus puller. In post-production I was responsible for doing the VFX, which you can see on my showreel.

SUMMER PRODUCTION

JUNE 2023

For my school's summer production, we did 'The Tale of Aladdin'. This was our own, modern take on the classic story where we also had covers of current music. We had a large crew which included vision mixing, camera operating, sound recording, and many more. We all worked on the set up of the staging, and on some of the costumes. My role that day was Lighting, which I was extremely excited to do, and have had brief experience with before. I set up and positioned the lights around the stage, and used the 'mydmx' software to create different lighting pre-sets.

'RUNNING WILD'

MAY - JUNE 2023

This was a documentary aimed at children that we filmed at Colchester Zoo. My group were given Episode 5, 'Bears and Other Oddities'. On this production, we had to conduct research on our allocated animals, research the codes and conventions of factual programming and its processes, and apply that to our project. My role in filming this documentary was camera operator, which I was so excited to do, and I am still very proud of this project.
